Writer/Director/Producer, Short Film ‘James’


Undertaking the role of film writer and director, authoring the script, visualising and co- ordinating all artistic and dramatic elements and directing the crew and cast. Fully accountable for all aspects of film production from initial conception through to editing and project completion involving responsibility for raising necessary finances, recruiting and supervising staff and securing distribution channels as a project manager.
Facilitating the completion of the film to successfully premier at the 8th Jameson Belfast Film Festival in where it won the prize for best Northern Irish short, as well as going on to win 20 other awards internationally and receiving nominations for Best International Dramatic Short at the Sundance Film Festival, and Best Script at the Grand OFF World Of Film Awards in Warsaw.

Assistant Editor/ Production manager - 'Child of the Dead End'


Working alongside the producer and director for the Irish language feature documentary, from preproduction to the world premier at the Belfast Film Festival in 2009.
Responsible for overseeing the postproduction and facilitating delivery of the film to the Irish language TV network TG4. Managing schedules, cast and crew during filming.

Accountable for the ongoing maintenance of all film and photography equipment on behalf of the film department
Ownership of a £30k per annum budget, identifying suitable equipment suppliers and negotiating favourable costs prior to procurement Establishing a highly successful equipment booking system for utilisation by all students
Delivering an excellent level of one to one equipment and software training and providing valuable support to lecturers in the delivery of creative practice based research
Responsible for the management of a computer laboratory comprising of in excess of 40 Apple Mac PC’s
Personally responsible for organising student projects prior to exhibition Regularly filming performances and events on behalf of various university departments Working in a multicultural environment
Acted as a volunteer counsellor on a University night helpline for students


Trainee on “Crossing”, an NIFTC/RTE Co-Production and several other Short Films, Documentaries and TV Series
